Inhibition of cytokine release from human mast cells with cetirizine, desloratadine, and dexamethasone. *P < 0.05 [14]. Experiments were conducted by preincubating human leukemic mast cells with the H₁-blockers cetirizine and desloratadine and the H-₂ blocker dexamethasone for 1 hour, followed by a 24-hour coincubation with phorbol myristate acetate (25 ng/mL) and the calcium ionophore A 23187 (2.5 × 10^-7 M).
